Horses that are not frequently exposed to other horses through travel, horse shows, etc. fall into this category. The program will be completed in two visits with a veterinarian performing physical and dental examinations of your horse. At both visits the veterinarian will make specific recommendations based on your horse’s needs. A physical exam is one of the most important diagnostic tools your veterinarian has for helping you maintain a healthy horse. Gold—$538 This is a health program for horses with more frequent contact with other horses through boarding or travel. The program will be completed in three visits with a veterinarian performing physical and dental examinations of your horse at two of the visits and making specific recommendations based on your horse’s needs. Routine dental care is an important part of every horse’s well-being; this program also includes a routine equilibration (float) and sedation along with a detailed oral exam using visual dentistry technique to assess your horse’s teeth and entire mouth. A dental report card will allow you to discuss any exam findings with your veterinarian. If any dental problems, such as loose or fractured teeth, are identified that require additional treatment, they are not considered part of the wellness program. Please call to speak with one of our veterinarians if you have questions about which program is right for your horse.
