WELCOME TO OAKMERE
Oakmere Golf Club, Oxton, between
Mansfield and Nottingham is rated as one of the best
in Nottinghamshire. It welcomes and caters for
golfers of all levels, from the beginner and
occasional putter, to some of the best players in the
region.
The facilities are unsurpassed and the
Academy prides itself on being the premier learning
centre for golf in the area. We have a 20 bay floodlit
driving range, featuring large private teaching bays,
a video analysis centre and mirrored bays to help
with self appraisal. This amounts to the most
modern and up to date golfing environment in the
area.
ADMIRALS COURSE
Our 18 hole course, named the Admirals
course after Admiral Sherbrook V.C., consists of
6739yds (white tees) of rolling, undulating terrain,
with a par of 73 . A pleasant relaxing walk with
ponds and the Dover Beck meandering through the
Course coming in to play on some of the holes.
COMMANDERS COURSE
Our 9 hole course, named the
Commanders course, named after Commander
Mortensen, is a championship length course of 6376
yds with a par of 72 which you go around twice
from different teeing positions. Much care and
time has been invested in landscaping with trees
and hedgerows to establish an interesting and
challenging layout.
THE 19th HOLE
By retaining the natural character of the
original farm buildings, which house the clubhouse
facilities, a truly special off course environment has
been created. Our restaurant offers everything from
tea and toast to bar snacks and an extensive dinner
menu. It caters for all occasions from the club disco
to a wedding banquet, seating up to 150 people

Junior Categories
Junior A (Under 18). For juniors under 18 playing either
course. Players under 12 must have a handicap of 28 or less
and be accompanied by an adult or accomplished junior
golfer.
Junior B (Under 18). For juniors under 18 playing the
Commanders 9 hole course only.
Junior C (Under 12). For junior members of 12 years or
under playing the Commanders 9 hole course only,
accompanied by an adult or accomplished junior golfer,
until 28 handicap or less.
Country Members
To be eligible for Country Membership you must live at least
80 miles away and do not play more than 6 weekend visits.
Adult 7 day pm.
This category is for full 7 day membership of both courses
for golf after 12pm only.
Full 6 Day.
This category is for full 6 day membership of both courses
excluding Saturdays.
5 day membership
This allows you to play weekdays only, it does not include
public bank holidays. To play on weekends or bank holidays
a separate green fee is payable.
All members must ensure they have adequate golf insurance.
