Model 500

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE-EVENING
A nice country home that is located on a hillside. JOHN,
runs inside the house. He is 10 years old and has blonde
hair that is slicked back very nicely. A dog then closely
follows behind.
INT. LIVING ROOM
John runs through the living room and down a hallway.
ERICA, the wife/mother, is laying down on the sofa reading
a book called, Danger: Mom Gone Crazy. She is in her late
40’s. She closes the book and walks in the kitchen.
INT. KITCHEN
JACK, the husband/father, is reading the newspaper. Erica
looks at the paper and notices it is the sports section.
Erica
Didn’t you already read that crap today?
Jack looks at the front of the paper and then keeps
reading. He looks up at Erica.
Jack
Yeah.
He then continues reading.
Erica
Ugh.
Erica walks out of the kitchen, up the stairs and in her
bedroom.
INT. PARENT’S ROOM
Erica sits on the bed and shakes her head. Suddenly John
runs in the room dressed as a Storm Trooper and shoots her
with a water gun.
John
Bam! I got ya.
John then runs out of the room laughing. Erica then stands
up, wipes the tears from her eyes and walks over to the
closet.
SAM, her daughter, then walks in the room. She is 17 and a
strawberry blonde.
Sam
You alright?
Erica then sits back on the bed.
Sam
I said, Are you alright?
Erica says nothing and does not even look at her.
Sam
Whatever
<Under breathe> Fucking bitch.
Erica watches her as she walks out of the room. Erica then
walks over to the door and slams it shut.
She then walks back over to the closet and takes out a
small metal box. She walks back and sits on the bed. She
takes a key from her pocket and opens the box with it.
She takes out a Model 500 S&W Magnum Revolver. She loads 5
bullets in its chamber and closes the chamber. She then
closes the box and puts it under the bed.
She wipes her eyes and gets up off the bed and walks out of
the room.
She walks down the hallway, down the steps and into the
basement.
INT. BASEMENT
Erica walks down the steps and across the basement. She
makes it to a box on the wall. She opens the box. It is the
electric box. She switches it off and pulls all the plugs
out.
EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE
We see the house suddenly become black.
INT. LIVING ROOM
Erica is next to the front door. She takes keys that are
hanging and walks outside.
INT. KITCHEN
Jack is looking around the kitchen. He slams his paper down
and walks out of the kitchen.
INT. SAM’S ROOM
Sam is lying down on her bed. John comes running in.
John
The lights are dead!
Sam
So…
John
I’m scared.
Sam
Ugh. You can stay in here if you want.
John smiles and jumps on the bed with her. He sits right
next to her.
Sam
You can stay at the end of the bed.
John frowns and moves to the end of the bed.
INT. CAR
Erica is in a car. It is the only car on the driveway. She
inserts the key in the ignition and starts to bend the key.
It then breaks while in the key hole. She smiles and gets
out of the car.
INT. HOUSE- NIGHT
Erica enters the house. Jack walks up to her.
Jack
The lights are out.
Erica
You think?
Jack
No they are out. I went down to check the circuit box and
all the wires have been ripped.
Erica
Ripped? Let me see.
Jack
K. Come on.
Jack starts walking towards the basement door. Erica
follows him. They walk by the kitchen.
Erica
Let me take my medicine real quick.
Jack continues walking and Erica goes in the kitchen. She
watches Jack go down the basement steps.
INT. KITCHEN
She walks over to the counter, opens the drawer and grabs a
large knife from it. She then walks out of the kitchen and
down the steps. She is holding the knife behind her back.
INT. BASEMENT
Jack is standing by the circuit box holding the wires.
Jack
These were obviously ripped off. And I did not do it.
Erica
What are you implying here? Are you saying I did it?
Jack
Who else could have done is Erica?
Erica
I don’t know, Jack. Ask your children.
Jack
John can’t reach it and Sam knows better.
Erica
So your fucking wife did it? I am ashamed on you Jack
Harris.
Jack
Unless someone broke into our house and did it, I don’t
know
Jack suddenly stops talking as he realizes a knife is in
his stomach. He looks at his wife with a confused look. She
then pulls it out.
Erica
Think before you speak Jack, think before you speak.
Jack holds his wound and falls on his knees. Erica looks at
him and swings the knife behind her and stabs him through
the side of the head.
CUT TO BLACK
EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE
It then starts to rain. A sudden snap of lightning is
heard.
INT. SAM’S ROOM
John
Ahhhhhhhhh!
John hides under the covers on Sam’s bed. Sam shakes her
head. She then reaches over to her drawer and takes out a
pack of cigarettes and a lighter. She lights up a cigarette
and starts to smoke it.
John sticks his head from under the covers and looks at
Sam. He has a shocked look on his face.
John
Awwwwwwwwwwh. I’m telling mommy on you.
John then gets up and runs out of the room.
Sam
Shit.
Sam gets up and follows him out of the room.
INT. HALLWAY
The hallway is dark and John runs around the corner at the
end. Sam is standing next to her room. The end of the
hallway is at least 15 feet.
Sam starts to slowly walk down the hallway. John is then
seen running across the hallway into a room. Erica is then
seen walking to the room where John is.
Sam walks back in her room and peaks around her door and
watches. Erica stops right outside the room John is in. She
then takes the Model 500 S&W Magnum Revolver from her side
and points it in the room.
Sam’s eyes get big as we here the loud gunshot. Sam covers
her mouth in shock. She then closes her door in shock.
Erica then looks up the hallway and smiles. She starts
walking towards Sam’s room.
INT. SAM’S ROOM
Sam locks the door and puts her dresser and bed in front of
it. She then picks up her phone. It does not work.
Sam
Oh shit.
The rain is heard hitting the window. Sam looks over at the
window. Banging is heard from the other side of the door. A
gunshot is heard and we see the bullet come through the
door and dresser. It then breaks the window.
Sam looks at the door in shock and breaks the rest of the
window. She then crawls out of it.
EXT. ROOF
The window leads to the roof. Sam crawls out of the window
and onto the roof. She crawls to the bottom and looks on
the ground. It is at least a 30 foot drop.
Sam then looks up the roof and starts to crawl her way up.
Sam looks in her window and sees Erica just got through her
door.
Sam then quickly crawls to the top of the roof. She then
slips and falls about five feet but makes her way back up.
She finally makes it to the top of the roof. She looks down
and sees Erica at the bottom.
Erica points the gun and shoots it. Sam makes it to the
other side of the roof just in time.
Sam slips and falls to the bottom of the roof. She rolls of
the roof.
SMACK.
Her stomach hits a tree and she twists off of the tree and
onto the ground. She tries to get up but she can’t. She
looks up and sees Erica standing on the roof looking down
at her.
Erica points the gun at her. Sam rolls and when she pulls
the trigger, the shot misses her.
(((That would be a happy ending wouldn’t it? But
unfortunately it does not happen that way. I don’t want to
be the one telling you this. This is what really happened
and I can’t change history.)))
Erica points the gun at her. In shock Sam rolls away. Erica
follows her with her gun. Sam the stops and a tear is seen
rolling down her face. But the rain quickly makes it
disappear.
Erica then pulls the trigger and shoots Sam. Blood is seen
splattered all over the grass.
Erica then looks down at her daughter. She opens the
chamber and sees one bullet out of five is left. She closes
the chamber and rolls it.
She puts the powerful gun inside her mouth. She then starts
to cry.
She pulls the trigger…

CLICK
CLICK
CLICK
Erica’s eyes then get big. The last bullet, the last
chamber.
SCREEN GOES TO BLACK.
BANG!
The gunshot is heard.
