in Environmental Education Opportunities

Please indicate which of the following options would be of interest to
your school in the forthcoming academic year.
This is also an opportunity to tell us what support your school would like from
the Borough Council with regard to environmental education in the future.
Please note that it may not be possible to provide everything listed but we
hope to use the results of this questionnaire to decide upon the best options.
Schools will be notified of what will be available during the Autumn term.
Assemblies and activities will be delivered by practitioners with experience
working with children and with full CRB disclosures.
Paper bank
These are already available for schools wanting to recycle paper.
Please tick if you do not have a bank and are interested in receiving one.
Compost bins and collection caddies
These are already available to schools via WRAP. Please tick if you do not
have a compost bin and are interested in receiving one
Textile customisation and fashion ethics workshop
Designed for arts co-ordinations or other interested teachers. Hands on
training day that could be taken into the classroom. Information on this event
has already been sent out. If you have not received this information and are
interested in finding out more please tick the box.
Assemblies
Potential topics - recycling, litter awareness, composting (provided by WRAP
advisor). Please tick if you would be interested in an assembly. If you would
prefer alternative topics please suggest them below.

Activities
Potential activities - paper making, plastic bag weaving, earth painting (natural
pigments), junk modelling, litter picking. Please tick if you would be interested
in an activity session. If you would prefer alternative topics please suggest
them below.

School litter awareness project (secondary schools)
Pupil led activity with resources and information provided by the Borough
Council. This could be carried out by the school council or via citizenship
lessons.
Newsletter
Opportunity to share successful environmental projects and funding
opportunities between North Warwickshire Schools. This would be produced
and distributed by the Borough Council. Schools would be asked to provide
contributions in the form of articles (written by pupils and teachers).
The Sort it Project
Schools invited to come up with innovative ideas on how to encourage people
in their local idea to use the kerbside recycling collection service. The
Borough Council then offers a grant and general assistance for schools to put
their project into action and monitor their results. Annual prize for the most
innovative school project. This could be either a whole school, class or eco
school committee project.
