April 11, 2002

Self-study Design Progress


Inventory of Documents


Mary Anne reviewed the draft design that was sent via email to members
of the steering committee. Please get corrections and comments
pertaining to your specific area to Mary Anne and Bev. She wrote the
draft after meeting for several days with John to review all the subcommittee charges, questions and inventory of resources that were
submitted.
Mary Anne asked the steering committee to review the three pages of
requested resources. It is possible that sub-committees are requesting
the same piece of information, but may have worded their request
differently. Also, some resources need to be worded differently so that it
is clear what information the sub-committee is using. (i.e., “student health
records” sounds like you want to review confidential records when, in fact,
you want statistics. Mary Anne asked that sub-committees not ask for
anything more than they need and to please review the inventory of
resources very carefully. It’s important that the MSA team be able to
access data in the MSA resource room when evaluating any subcommittee charge. Everything mentioned in the design draft must be
validated.
Faculty for Liaison Meeting May 8

The MSA liaison has requested to meet with 10-15 faculty/staff members
on May 8. Mary Anne asked the steering committee to recommend
names to her and she will contact them to see if they are interested in
attending a meeting.

Next Meeting and Agenda

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 8:00 am to 9:00
am in the Allegany Room of Central Dining Hall. Agenda topics will be:
