РИ-ИСУ08.02.00.00.00/5-1 ATTACHMENT 1 ASSAREL-MEDET JSC – town of PANAGYURISHTE Technical Assignment for Long-term Tangible Assets Delivery REGARDING: Delivery of acoustic camera with imbedded inclinometer for documenting drill holes. 1. Description of the operation conditions of the acoustic camera (AC). The Assarel copper ore deposit is located in the Sashtinska Sredna Gora mountain, district of Pazardzhk, Central Bulgaria to 10 km northwest from the town of Panagyurishte. The mine is located at an altitude of 930 – 1080 m. The deposit consists of Paleozoic granitoides, Upper-Cretaceous effusive vulcanites – andesites, lavobreccia, tuffs and sub-vulcanic rocks (diorite, quartz-diorite, granitodiorite). The rocks are hydrothermally altered to different extents into the following metasomatites: - Sericite quarcites - Alunite-diaspore quarcites - Argillites - Propylites. The mining activities are carried out on 15-meter-high benches when blasting. Blast holes are drilled with three-roller bits – Ф 251 mm and their length reaches down to 17 m. Blast holes for contour blasting with diameter ф 165 mm are also made. Exploration core drilling is carried out with drill hole diameters NQ 75,7 mm and HQ 96,1 mm, drill hole length down to 580 m. The drill holes are encompassed with casing column. The drill hole walls are strengthened with bentonite and they may also be filled with turbid water. 2. Purpose: The acoustic camera with embedded inclinometer is needed to document and collect geological information from the various drill holes in the pit. The camera has to provide an orientated unfolded ultrasonic image with high resolution from the drill hole walls. The camera has to be suitable for monitoring the drill holes whose walls are strengthened with bentonite or filled with turbid waters, monitoring cased drill holes and drill holes made with three-roller bits and water ablution. 2.1 The usage areas of the camera have to include the following: - Finding cracks and faults and defining their spatial orientation. - Creating stereograms which show the cracks and faults orientation and their grouping into separate structural systems. - Finding thin zones (caverns) and defining their depth. - Differentiating various lithological types according to their acoustic features. - Correlating the data from a drill hole group. - Defining the drill hole spatial orientation during the drilling. Identification of structural dislocations in the massif before the mining activities reach them is aimed with the obtained information. This information will improve the efficiency of mine planning and mining works development, on one hand, and will result into increasing the accuracy of the slope stability factor during long-term planning, on the other hand. 2.2 Operation conditions of the camera: Drill holes length from 15 to 580 m Diameter of the various drill holes from ф 47 to ф 251 mm Water acidity in the drill holes – pH = 3 - 7 Maximal temperature of the water – до 600С Pressure – min 60 Bar. Resistance to adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, temperature fluctuations, wind, etc.) 3. Acoustic camera model, type and technical characteristics: One (1) acoustic camera with embedded inclinometer to document drill holes with the needed associated equipment and software together with the device for measuring the clear opeming of the drill holes. General technical characteristics: 3.1. Outer diameter of the camera – according to the minimal drill hole diameter – ф 47 mm; 3.2. Weight – minimal possible weigh 3.3. Length – minimal while preserving full functionality 3.4. Rotating frequency of the reflection mirror per 1 second – min 5 revolutions per second. 3.5. Rotation of the mirror – 0 – 360 0; 3.6. Image orientation mechanism – 3-axial magnitometer and 3-axial accelerometer. 3.7. Inclinometry – with accuracy +/– 0,5 0 3.8. Azimuth measurement – with accuracy +/– 1,5 0 - Needed accessories: - Devices for centering the camera for drill holes with diameter 47 mm to 251 mm – 1 set for the different diameters (ф47; ф63,50; ф75,70; ф96,10; ф165; ф251) - Calibrator and spare parts - Motorized reel crab on the surface with 580-meter-long cable to adjust speed, tripod - Device for data collection and reading (logger), computer configuration - The electric power supply has to be fed with accumulators, possibility for spare power supply (220V); - Information processing software: o Image recording module o Image analysis software o Software for correlating the information from several adjacent drill holes o Software for drill hole columns o Software for analysis and characteristics of cracks and faults.
