Every person has sinned and needs to be saved from the consequences of sin. This can happen only when a person believes that Jesus Christ came and died for them and rose from the dead. Each person must repent from their sins and accept the sacrifice that Jesus made to save them from death. When they do, God forgives their sins and cancels the death penalty against them. They can then be restored to relationship with God, our Father in heaven, both now and throughout eternity. People can never be good enough to work their way back to God or earn His salvation. Even our best efforts are like filthy rags compared to God’s perfection. There is no other way to know God but to accept Christ’s payment for our debt of sin. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped put together the school kits! Every little bit helps! The Haven of Rest is in desperate need of coffee (see the letter on the Mission table grease board). Please help us alleviate that need if you can by bringing in cans of coffee and placing them on the mission table in the lower foyer area. Thank you! The youth group will again be contributing a Thanksgiving dinner to a needy family in our area. They are a smaller youth group than in the past, and would like to invite the congregation to help this year. Please look for a sign up sheet that will be coming soon! Prayer Requests: There were numerous prayer requests last Sunday. Please continue to lift those up who are in need of healing, or for God’s guidance and direction. The Eastern Ohio/ N.W. Pennsylvania Unit of MDS will hold its Annual Business Meeting on Saturday November 22, at 7pm at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church in Sugarcreek, Ohio. SO NOW WE COME NEUGEBAUER We have come before You, bow our heads to You (and) We will lift our hands to You, our lives to You O Lord, our God, Forever we will sing You are worthy of all our praises So now we come to worship You You are worthy of all our praises So now we come to worship You We have come before You, give our hearts to You (and) We will lift our songs to You, our praise to You COME, THOU FOUNT OF EVERY BLESSING Come, thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace. Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it, mount of God’s unchanging love. Here I raise my Ebenezer, hither by thy help I’m come, And I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God. He, to rescue me from danger, interposed his precious blood. Oh, to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be! Let that grace now, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above. LORD YOU HAVE MY HEART Martin Smith Lord, You have my heart, And I will search for Yours Jesus take my life and lead me on, Lord, You have my heart And I will search for Yours, Let me be to You, a sacrifice And I will praise You Lord (I will praise You Lord) And I will sing of Love come down (I will sing of Love come down) And as You show your face (show Your face) We'll see Your Glory here God With Us Barry Graul Who are we , That You would be mindful of us What do You see, That’s worth looking our way We are free , In ways that we never should be Sweet release, From the grip of these chains Like hinges straining from the weight My heart no longer can keep from singing. Chorus All that is within me cries , For You alone be glorified Emmanuel God with us My heart sings a brand new song, The debt is paid these chains are gone , Emmanuel God with us. Lord You know , Our hearts don't deserve Your glory Still You show , A love we cannot afford Like hinges straining from the weight My heart no longer can keep from singing. Bridge: Such a tiny offering Compared to Calvary Nevertheless we lay it at your feet
