The plaintiff, Keith Bruce Suttor, sued Etella Eudora Graves and Phyllis Graves, trading as Warden Harry Graves, stock and property agents, claiming £131 as wages alleged to be due for 31 weeks at £5 per week, during which time he was in the employ of the defendants. A plea of never indebted was filed, and the defendants further stated that it had been clearly explained to the plaintiff that the business could not pay the salary claimed, and he was invited to invest capital in it. He did not wish to do so, but, It was alleged, agreed to go In without salary, as he had a war pension to live upon. ----------. The jury returned a verdict for the defendants, SMH 23/10/24 P.6 Suttor, Alice Mary (1855–1923) A member of one of Bathurst's well-known families in the person of Mrs. Alice Mary Suttor, wife of Mr. A. Bruce Suttor, died at his residence, Waimarie, Findlay Avenue, Roseville, on Wednesday. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. J. N. McIntosh, of Ellerslie, Bathurst, and granddaughter of Colonel McIntosh, who came to NSW in command of a Highland regiment about 90 years ago. She was born at Ellerslie in 1855, and had also resided at Eureka, Hamilton, Waikato district, New Zealand. She is survived by Mr. Suttor, who is a son of the late Mr. William Henry Suttor, of Brucedale, Bathurst, and brother of the late Sir Francis Suttor. Two sons - Major Harold Suttor, who served in the South African and also in the recent war, Captain Keith Suttor, who also saw service in the great war and four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Stokes, wife of Dr. Harold Stokes, Taree; Mrs. Valerie Ormiston, wife of Mr. V.
