Ancient Civilization Museum Project Today you will need to meet in your Ancient Civilization groups to decide your action plan for your museum. You will need to use the group roles in your classroom procedures to be successful. (See next page) There will be some required tasks to create for your display and you will also choose as a group other things to display showing important aspects of your ancient civilization. Required Tasks: Sign displaying civilization name o (with lettering that can be read from 6 feet away) 3-D Map showing o an outline of the civilization o major landforms, waterways and cities Artifacts of civilization (your choice of which ones) Written descriptions describing significance of artifact Each item that is on display is required to have a description telling what it is and why it is important to the civilization. You will need to have facts that show what you have learned by studying the civilization. But before you may begin creating the above tasks, your group needs to have an action plan and have it approved by Mrs. Ski. (See next page) There will be a “curator” that is responsible for a section of the museum and will be assessed for this section. Others may help and have input, but the responsibility of the section is the curator’s. Each of you will need to keep a daily log of your participation. This will help me to see who is doing what part, and thus assessing will be fair. It will also be used as a weekly participation grade. Ancient Civilization Museum Action Plan Curators What is a curator? Which curator from your group will be responsible for each key point section? List exactly what artifacts you will be displaying in each of the sections. Each section (other then Geo/Enviro.) needs at least 5 artifacts displayed at the museum.
