Students are not allowed to bring this book home; they are to be left at school. Chapter 4 (Loneliness): Why wasn’t Wilbur interested in eating? Describe Wilbur’s mood in Chapter 4. What caused Wilbur to feel the way he does? What is the effect of his feelings? Chapter 5 (Charlotte): Why didn’t Wilbur sleep well that night? What did the voice say to Wilbur in his dream? How do Wilbur’s feelings change from the beginning of Chapter 5 to the end of chapter 5? What was the effect of Wilbur meeting Charlotte? Chapter 6 (Summer Days): What is the main idea of this chapter? Describe the goose’s exciting news. What was Templeton adding to his collection and why? Chapter 7 (Bad News): Describe how Wilbur feels at the beginning of Chapter 7. What information did the goose give to Wilbur? How does Wilbur react to the news? Why does Charlotte think the goose might be right? What promise did Charlotte make to Wilbur at the end of Chapter 7? Language we will be talking about subjects and sentence fragments. (The subject of a sentence is whom or what the sentence is about. Every sentence has a subject.) (A sentence fragment is a group of words that does not tell a complete thought. Some sentence fragments can be fixed by adding a subject.) Also, all types of sentences will continue to be reviewed as well as correct punctuation (ending marks, commas, and capital letters when needed). Math Unit 1:Properties of Multiplication and Division. Students will interpret products as whole numbers, recognize multiplication as repeated addition, use arrays to represent multiplication, and use multiplication to solve word problems. Social Studies/Science we will be finishing up Unit 1, Chapters 1-2; the geography and regions of Louisiana. We will be starting Unit 1, Properties of Matter and continuing with Unit 1 over the next couple of weeks. Of Special Interest Dibels Benchmark Testing will begin this week!
