Mayo Clinic to Host Metabolomics Workshop Sept. 8-10, 2014 Mayo Clinic is one of six federally funded Regional Comprehensive Metabolomics Resource Cores (RCMRC) to support medical research using metabolomics - the comprehensive and quantitative analysis of molecules (metabolites) that define the metabolic signatures of living systems. Mayo Clinic will host a Metabolomics Symposium from Sept. 8 through Sept. 10, 2014, in Rochester, Minn. The event will feature presentations on the practice and theory of metabolomics applications, latest research in metabolomics, tours and networking opportunities, and a poster session (cash awards will be given for excellence). The workshop will be open to beginner and established researchers, students, and postdoctoral fellows. Mayo Clinic presenters include K. Sreekumaran Nair, MD, PhD; Michael Jensen, MD; Slobodan Macura, PhD; Adrian Vella, MD; Ian Lanza, PhD; Petras Dzeja, PhD; Surendra Dasari, PhD; Michelle Mielke, PhD; and Mark Frye, MD.
