Introduction
Hosted by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and
Television and Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, organized by Sichuan
Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Bureau and Sichuan Radio and
Television, the international Sichuan TV Festival has developed into one of the
most influential media festivals in Asia. Since its foundation in 1991, the biennial
event is to celebrate the 13th festival this year. As an important sub-event,
International “Gold Panda” Awards for Students has successfully been held for 3
editions. Over 5,900 student works from 265 media schools from 45 countries and
regions participated in 2009, 2011 and 2013, which has turned this competition an
important platform to showcase young generation’s talents.
University is a great stage full of passion, imagination and creation, where the
youngsters could record the world, express their ideas and present their dreams
via videos. Innovative and creative films of unique experience and profound

Rules & Regulations
A. Eligibility
1.
Entries must be fiction, documentary or animation created, wrote, directed, acted,
edited or produced by students who are officially registered at a college, university or
media schools. An Entrant is supposed to provide the entries with one copy of their
student ID or school certificate.
2.
Entries must be completed between Jan.1, 2013 and Jun. 30, 2015. The entries
must never have participated in International “Gold Panda” Awards for Students.
3.
No restriction on the length of the entries.
4. All entries are exempt from entry fees.
5.
Entries can be submitted by individuals; colleges and universities are encouraged to
organize submissions or recommend student works.

Complete the electronic entry form.
Each entry should be submitted along with a synopsis within 200 words.
Each entry should be submitted along with a minimum of four different digital images
in JPEG or GIF format (800 X 600 pixels). The images will be used for the
publication of the International “Gold Panda” Awards for Students and the official
website of SCTVF for promotional purposes.
Entry Deadline: Please email the electronic entry form, synopsis and digital images
to gpanda-student@sctvf.com before Jun. 30, 2015.
Materials Deadline: All entry materials, including DVD, trailer and hard copy entry
form must be mailed or couriered to the International “Gold Panda” Awards for
Students Office before July 10, 2015 which will be subject to the postmark.
The package of entry materials should be properly marked as: “For Festival
Purposes Only. No Commercial Value.” for customs declaration. Entrants will be
responsible for any duties payable as a result of incorrect customs declaration. The
entrant is responsible for the safe shipment, insurance and shipping cost of entries.
The Organizing Committee will take every reasonable precaution in handling entries,

but will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or non-receipt of entries
however so caused. DVDs will not be returned, but retained in the reference
database of the International "Gold Panda" Awards. The reference database does
not serve any commercial purpose.
On receipt of the entry form, DVD and relative materials, International “Gold Panda”
Awards for Students office will send an entry completion notice to the contact email
on the entry form. The entrants who have completed the application will
automatically acquire the membership to International “Gold Panda” Awards for
Students with the membership ID and password on the “Gold Panda” Award Website
(http://gpanda.com.cn). Please log in your personal page and complete relative
information so as to enhance the exposure of yourself and your works.

Entries must be submitted on PAL standard DVD or Bluray DVD. Entries that can
only be screened on computer but Bluray DVD player will not be accepted. Please
specify the category, name and length of the entry on the DVD.
Entries must be in the English language or accompanied by English script with time
codes.
A trailer of 3-5 minutes is required for promotional purpose.

Entries must comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China
with distinct and positive themes, and should avoid material of an erotic, violent or
sanguine nature.
Entries can only be submitted by organization or individual that owns the copyrights.
The entrant is held responsible for any legal disputes. The Organizing Committee
reserves the rights to void any entrant’s qualification and recall any awards.
Entries are not allowed to contain any advertisements.
E. Categories of Entry
1. The competition is divided into three categories (no limits on the length): Fiction,
Documentary and Animation.
2. Entrant must complete a separate entry form for each entry, indicating the intended
award category. The Organizing Committee has the right to edit the supplied
information for promotional purposes.
3. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to decide the eligibility and category of
each entry.

F. Judging
1. The jury will be comprised of professionals and scholars from around the world to
guarantee the internationalism of the judging.
2. Based on judging, the jury is entitled to honor a single award to more than one program,
or leave an award vacant.
G. Awards
1. Official Certificate will be issued by the organizing committee to nominated entries and
official selection entries.
2. Trophy and Official Certificate will be awarded by the organizing committee to winning
entries.

Validation - Since “Gold Panda” Awards is a high profile awards competition, your
school, employer, partner, the industry and the general public will know what you have
accomplished and you will receive the credit that is so well deserved.
Media Exposure：The organizing committee will release the winners as well as the
nominees of the Awards to the media, including on the relevant award ceremony on
Sichuan Television and some most famous online video websites in China. Besides,
winners will be invited to the ceremony as honored guests.

Recommendations: With the entrant’s permission, the organizing committee may
recommend outstanding programs to compete in other international awards.
Industry Exposure: Information of winners, nominees and official selection entries will be
published on 2015 International “Gold Panda” Awards for Students Catalogue
free-of-charge, which will be distributed to jurors, honored guests and attendants of the
festival.
Culture Exchange: With the entrant’s permission, winning and excellent programs may
be invited for screenings in colleges and universities in China.
“Gold Panda” Awards Web Seal and Link - Every entrant will automatically acquire a
membership ID as well as a members-only page on the official website of “Gold Panda”
Awards (http://gpanda.com.cn or www.gpanda.com.cn). Nominees and winners of the
“Gold Panda” Awards will receive image seals on their membership web page as an
official online certificate which can be accessed by your school, employer, clients and the
general public.

Entrants are encouraged to provide promotional clips of their entries. If no clips are
provided, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to use some clips of 3-5
minutes from each entry free-of-charge for promotional purposes (i.e. publication, TV,
website, and other related events of SCTVF) without informing the entrant.
With the entrant’s permission, excellent entries could be selected by the organizing
committee for professional and public screenings during the festival as well as some
relative public screenings.

J. Acceptance
1. Participation in the International “Gold Panda” Awards for Students implies full
acceptance of the Rules & Regulations of this competition.
2. The Organizing Committee is fully responsible for the compilation and clarification of
the Rules & Regulations.
