musical journey through the factory of fun when the children’s TV favorite, Sheira
& Loli’s Dittydoodle Works, makes its Season Two debut! The popular series from
Rogar Studios premieres 14 all-new episodes starring the rag-top twins, Sheira and
Loli. (check local listings). With the addition of the new shows, Dittydoodle Works
now boasts 40 half-hour episodes in national distribution through American Public
Television (APT). The series is presented nationally by WLIW New York Public
Television.
Season Two of Dittydoodle Works, introduces a colorful new, wacky – and
sometimes wild! – character, Squeeky Squeeky Kronk, nephew of Professor Eeky
Eeky Kronk, from the series’ first season. In another “high note” of the second
season, film, television and Broadway music-composing legend, Marvin Hamlisch, a
Season One guest star, joins the creative team as musical consultant and composer.
Mr. Hamlisch’s passion for children’s music combined with his widely-lauded talent
brings the series’ already award-winning music to an unprecedented new level. In
addition, celebrated ‘80s disco diva Chaka Khan returns to her role as the vibrant
and very melodic Mother Nature.
Dittydoodle Works Season Two/2
Dittydoodle Works has experienced strong growth across U.S. markets since its
national rollout in September 2006. The series currently reaches nearly 30 million
households and airs in all four leading DMAs – New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia
and Chicago – among many other major cities across the country. In April 2007 on
New York’s WLIW21, the lively and engaging series achieved ratings comparable
to those of long-running kids TV hits, including Bob the Builder and Clifford’s
Puppy Days.
In other exciting news, for the first time ever, a new Dittydoodle Works DVD
title, Sheira & Loli’s Dittydoodle Works, will debut nationwide on Amazon.com,
BarnesandNoble.com and other leading E-tailers. The new release features two
fun-filled episodes from Season One along with games, sing-alongs and other special
features to help further extend the music and laughter of the standout series for
kids and families across the country.
“We’re ecstatic about the success of Dittydoodle Works in Season One. It’s truly
been a thrill to see the steady increase in carriage since our national launch in
September, and the fantastic viewer response, including the thousands of parents
and children that have attended our most recent live events,” said Cory Rosenberg,
Executive Producer of the series and Rogar Studios CEO. “Season Two promises to
be the season that propels Dittydoodle Works into the stratosphere and our new
DVD title will help attract many more new fans nationwide.”
Sheira & Loli’s Dittydoodle Works features costumes created by animatronics
expert David Barclay (Star Wars, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) of Perform FX and
catchy, sing-along music written and performed by the real-life inspiration for the
series stars, twins Sheira and Leora “Loli” Brayer. The sisters are two-time
winners of Billboard magazine’s National Songwriters Award, and their
performances on Dittydoodle Works Celebrates the Holidays and Sheira & Loli’s
Ditties for Little Kiddies - Volume 1 and Volume 2 have garnered three iParenting
Media Awards and a Bronze Telly award.
Described as “vitamins for a child’s imagination,” Dittydoodle Works is set in a
magical, musical factory, where the products are fun and learning. A mix of warm
and engaging characters and catchy original songs with clever lyrics and gentle life
lessons about self-esteem, relationships, fitness, nature and more, the series is
designed to both stimulate young children and entertain their parents.
Dittydoodle Works is produced at Rogar Studios’ 18,000-square-foot facility on Long
Island. The company’s headquarters houses a 10,000-square-foot sound stage, a
Pro Tools audio suite, HD editing, wardrobe and prop shop as well as executive offices
