Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance – www.cfda.gov
Lists federal programs and projects that provide assistance, grants or loans. Information is often
incomplete or outdated, but there are usually government contacts listed for each program that
you can call to verify information.
Community Foundation Locator – www.communityfoundationlocator.org
A U.S. directory of community foundations. Sponsored by the Council on Foundations.
Company Locator – www.whowhere.com
Provides a simple way to find companies by name and location. This is a good place to go when
you know that a particular company has a grant program that matches your project, but you
don't know how to find its Web site.

Online edition is published every week and is an excellent news source. Some material is

One of the most widely used resources for information about foundations. A searchable
database is available via an online subscription. Also contains extensive information and
examples on many grant related topics, including a short course on proposal writing.

Contains links to foundations with Web sites and also provides information on government
funding, nonprofits and fund-raising issues.
