ADDENDUM TO REPORT OF 19th JUNE 2010
An inquiry was held on 18th.June 2010 as the result of a specimen taken
from the horse GENTLE WAVE after it ran 2nd on the 14th March 2010 in the
6th Race run at Borrowdale Park Racecourse tested positive for a
prohibited substance, namely Dexamethasone.
Trainer Mrs. N. Peech was charged in terms of Rule 73.2.4 for being the
Trainer and person responsible for GENTLE WAVE when this horse ran in the
6th Race at Borrowdale Park Racecourse on the 14th March 2010 and the
horse contained a prohibited substance.
Mrs. Peech pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Board found Mrs. Peech guilty and imposed a fine of US$3000.00
Furthermore, Gentle Wave is disqualified from the said Race in terms of
Rule 72.3.2 and the provisions of Rue 67.7.8 apply.
Mrs. Peech has the right of appeal against the penalty imposed.

i) DIVINE AIR (K Derere) very difficult to load, delaying the start.
ii) DAISY A DAY (C Orffer) reared as the start was effected dislodging
Jockey Orffer in the gate. DIVINE AIR to be reschooled.

STIPENDIARY STEWARD'S REPORT
i) After reviewing the patrol film, and discussion with the starter,
DAISY A DAY was declared a runner.
ii) In the closing stages MINTY MALONE (Q Riddle), drifted inwards across
SECOND DATE (W Uys) but was clear of this horse.
iii) Jockey N Sibanda signed an Admission of Guilt in terms of Rule
57.5.1 in that he failed to present himself to the Clerk of Scales 60
minutes before his first ride. Fined $20.
iv) MINTY MALONE, the winner, selected for the taking of specimens for
analysis.

The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with
the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's racemeeting.
The passports of all the runners that raced at today's racemeeting were
checked, and identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed,
as per normal procedure.
The Medical Record books of all the riders were seen by the Clerk of
Scales.
