Section A:
4 year olds (born 2008) - test BD Basic Test 4 year old (YHB4 2003)
Section B:
5 year olds (born 2007) - test BD Novice Young Horse Test for 5 year old (YHN5 2004)
Section C:
6 year olds (born 2006) - test BD Elementary Young Horse Test for 6 year old (YHE6 2004)
Entry Fee: £20; Entries close 20 Sep; Late Entries £4 extra per section if space available
Prize Money: £75, £50, £25 overall; Rosettes per section

Rules (including Eligibility):
 No qualification required.
 Class open to PONIES ONLY. Ponies may be up to and including 148cm in height (149cm with shoes).
 Open to both BD registered and non-BD registered ponies, owners & riders need not be BD members.
 Riders any age.
 Age of pony is to be taken from the 1st January in the year in which it was born.
 To be run under BD rules.
 To be judged as per BD Young Horse classes.
 Whips only allowed in 4 year old section.
 If spurs are worn, they must be blunt spurs without rowels.
 Ponies must be ridden in snaffle bridles.
 Entries to be accompanied by a copy of the pony’s pedigree (so that breeding information can be
published).
 The 3 top scoring ponies overall will be required to attend a mounted prize giving otherwise prizes
(including money) will be forfeited.
Special Prizes:





Rosettes to 6th place in each section
Prize Money of £75 to highest scoring pony across all sections; £50 to next highest scoring pony
overall; £25 to third highest scoring pony overall.
SPSS Thermatex Rug to Highest Scoring Pony (over all sections).
Voucher for British Dressage Horse Registration to highest scoring pony; voucher for 50% off Horse
Registration to other two section winners.
SPSS Teddy to youngest rider (date of birth to be given on entry form if wishing to compete for this
prize)
