SCIENTIFIC CONFERERNCE Saturday 8 May Venue: University of Tartu, Main Hall, Ülikooli 18, Tartu Invited lectures are given by Professor Paul M.G. Emmelkamp (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands) P.M.G. Emmelkamp, a licensed psychotherapist, clinical psychologist and a professor of clinical psychology, is well-known for his research in CBT for anxiety disorders. His research interests include therapy efficacy in different mental disorders, internet-based therapies and virtual reality exposure therapy Professor Jüri Allik (University of Tartu, Estonia). Jüri Allik is a professor of experimental psychology, the head of the University of Tartu’s Department of Psychology and a Foreign Member of the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters. His main research interests lie in the areas of perception and personality psychology but he has exciting studies concerning also emotions and in telligence. Professor Jaanus Harro (University of Tartu, Estonia). Jaanus Harro is a professor of psychophysiology, director of the Estonian Centre of Behavioural and Health Sciences. His major research areas include neurobiological structure and regulation of affectivity, the role of genetic factors and gene-environment interaction in development of behaviour preferences, symptoms of mental disorders and personality. PRESENTATIONS We invite colleagues to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on research in cognitive-behaviour therapy and other evidence-based therapies, cognitive science, psychological factors in psychiatric disorders and psychosomatic conditions, the interaction of psychological and biological factors in behaviour and cognitive processes, and other related topics. Each oral paper is allotted approximately 20 minutes for presentation.
