Application for Transfer at Level – Notes
Prior to completing and submitting this form, applicants are to refer to all information regarding Transfer at Level Procedure and Guidelines.
APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER AT LEVEL
An application for transfer at level indicates that you are eligible to make application and wish to move from your current permanent position and location. The transfer at level process cannot be used to obtain an additional incumbency or additional hours of duty. Should you wish to apply for a transfer at level you must indicate whether the transfer is Requested or Compassionate (you will need to attach detailed legal &/or medical documentary evidence). All eligible Transfer At Level Transfer Applications are considered as vacancies arise as part of the Recruitment and
Selection Process.
Please note:
To be eligible for a transfer at level you need to have been appointed to and worked in your current classification and location for a minimum period of two years (excluding Teacher Aides).
A transfer at level deemed exceptional hardship by the Compassionate Transfer at Level Review Panel, will be treated with priority consideration.
Please refer to your aligned Human Resource team with respect to examples of documentary evidence required to support your transfer at level application.
REASON FOR APPLYING FOR A TRANSFER AT LEVEL
The reasons you provide for submitting an application for transfer at level should be clear, concise and relevant. Examples of comments that could be inserted in this area are: change desired for professional development, medical condition, five years served at remote locations. If insufficient space exists to cover explicitly your reasons for transfer at level, please attach a separate letter. You are encouraged to provide all relevant information to assist HR personnel in their management of these applications. Any relevant supporting documentation must be attached (e.g. medical certificate for a specialist practitioner, statutory declaration). It is an applicant
’s responsibility to provide current information – re your address, contact details, etc.

Preferred Employment FTE: You are required to complete this section to indicate the minimum and maximum FTE (full time equivalent) of vacancies for which you would like to be considered. If you do not complete this section, your application will be listed for a minimum and maximum of 1.0 FTE and will only be considered for full time vacancies.
Criminal History Check: Before you can be transferred to another location in a recognised position, you will be required to complete a consent form to allow a Criminal History Check to be undertaken by the Queensland Policy Service.
