Students must be registered on or before the registration deadline for each class. Please give 48 hours notice if possible when cancelling attendance for a class.
ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)
This course teaches providers to respond to a cardiovascular emergency. It is intended for physicians, nurses, EMT’s, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other health care
professionals. ACLS provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult cardiac arrest. Pre-requisites include current BLS
certification and current ACLS certification.
Renewal (must have a current ACLS certification) Cost: Free for CVMC employees, $100 for community members (cost includes book)

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) HEALTHCARE PROVIDER COURSE
This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, and use an AED.
The course includes adult, child, and infant rescue skills in both the out-of-hospital and in-hospital settings.
Cost: Free for CVMC employees, $45 for community members (cost includes book)

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS)
This course is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and
children, resulting in improved outcomes. This course is intended for pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners,
paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.
