Section 2 – PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Part 1: Need for developing the immunology tool (score out of 40)
1. Tool description (half page)
Name of proposed tool.
Briefly describe the need for developing the tool.
2. Briefly describe the context behind the tool development:
Availability or non-availability of the tool, why it is not serviceable (cost of acquisition, refusal of
designing laboratory to provide it, or ineffective tool).
Part 2: Evaluation of the quality of the experimental method for the development of the tool
(score out of 30)
Description of the experimental method (one page)
A) Provide a brief description of the experimental approach and methodology, taking care to
highlight specifically the innovative aspect of the experimental method. B) Indicate the
feasibility of its implementation as well as the quality and suitability of the research team:
appropriate and complementary expertise of the principal investigators and labour availability in
the laboratories where the project will be conducted.
Part 3: Timetable (score out of 20)
Provide a brief description of the proposed timetable, paying attention to highlighting its feasibility,
particularly by demonstrating the suitability of the research team for completing the task, but also from
a technical execution point of view (e.g. availability of the equipment required).
Identify project participants (postdoctorate trainees, graduate students (with their directors and
co-directors), research professionals and technicians (with their home laboratory).
Specify the involvement of everyone in conducting the project (experiences to be conducted).
Identify laboratories where research activities will be conducted.
