The Most Holy Trinity
Faith Sharing – God speaks to us
(Reflections from parishioners)
******************************
I still have many things to say to you but they would be too much for you now. But when the Spirit of truth comes he will lead you to the complete truth, since he will not be speaking as from himself but will say only what he has learnt
(John 16:12-15)

The Trinity is a central doctrine of our faith. God is a perfect community of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three divine persons, equally distinct, equal in all things, loving and caring for one another give us our perfect role model for loving God and one another in the is life. We are loved by
God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit through the Church. By uniting ourselves to the Church in the
Sacraments we become part of the
Christian community whose Head is
Jesus and are loved and supported on our journey through life. God comes to us in this way. The Spirit works with us all who make up the Body of Christ on earth. Jesus brought us the Father's love by asking Him to send the Holy
Spirit to us through the Church. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would teach us everything that He wants us to know. So when we receive the Spirit we have all three Persons dwelling in us : Father Son and Spirit. The Trinity fill us with their love Peace and guidance. We are indeed blessed. The
Holy Spirit makes us share in the
Father‘s love for Jesus and vice versa.
The more we reflect on this blessing the more our faith will increase and the more we realize the importance of loving and caring for one another. This loving and caring brings hope to everyone and prevent despair.

A Fable (continued….)
Gilmore, the hedgehog, comes out of his sleep at the animal congress. All fall silent. Before his sleep, many felt he could lead the animal kingdom to a new era. Some of the birds were searing red ties, others dyed their feathers to the appropriate colour and the elephant obtained a red skull cap which made him look like a cardinal and even Gilmore himself who lacks humour saw the funny side of things given his aversion to all things Roman.
As he awakens again, the world has moved on and to get attention he calls on the social agenda. ‘Let there be equality everywhere’ he snorts. He goes further. ‘There must be gender quotas everywhere’. The shaggy dog
‘Wallace’ asks, ‘Does this apply to football teams?’ and adds ‘Does not
Gilmore sit at the top of a hierarchy and when crossed can exercise the power of excommunication?’ Gilmore ignores him and says, ‘There must be openness and transparency everywhere’! ‘That puts an end to our closed training sessions’ says a voice and nobody knows whether he was referring to the Kerry team or not!
