F & A Return Distribution
Proposal Titled “Project Title”
It is the University’s policy that when more than one department is involved in a research project
proposal, the F & A cost return distributed to those departments should be made according to an
agreement between all departments involved.
Option 1…
By signing this letter, we have agreed that the F & A cost return will be distributed equally (50/50)
between the Pharmacology, Physiology, & Therapeutics (PPT) department and the Biology department.
Or…
Option 2…
By signing this letter, we have agreed that the F & A cost return will be distributed in direct proportion to
the modified total directs cost generated by the faculty and staff of the Pharmacology, Physiology, &
Therapeutics (PPT) and the Biology departments.
Or…
Option 3…
By signing this letter, we have agreed that the F & A cost return will be distributed between the
Pharmacology, Physiology, & Therapeutics (PPT) and the Biology departments, with the Pharmacology,
Physiology, & Therapeutics (PPT) department receiving 60% of the return and the Biology department
receiving 40% of the return.
