Assist Floater Team in setting up easels - Help where needed to get easels & name cards set Find your assigned room and: Place five bottles of water on the table - Pick up from HIB 135 Check equipment in your assigned room - Make sure that it is working properly! Report to the Floor or Room Monitor Team Leader immediately if there is a problem Check in with the Floor Monitor Report to your assigned room Greet guests upon their arrival Remain alert, responsive, responsible, and mature If there are any problems, please report them to the Floor Leader ASAP Quickly clear out the rooms Help floaters guide the guests to HIB 100 for the Keynote Address & Awards Ceremony Return to your room and do a final check. When clean up is finished, please relax! Summary of Room Monitor Duties Make sure your assigned room is clean and that the equipment is functioning. Be familiar with overall program and scheduled presentations in your room. Don’t forget to introduce yourself to the Faculty Moderator. Always treat the faculty with the utmost respect – you are there to help them. Make sure the audience in the room is quiet and polite. After each presentation, try to encourage the audience to remain seated for the next presentation. - For those who insist on leaving, make sure they leave quickly and quietly between the presentations Don’t eat or partake in any unnecessary conversation! Remember: 15 minutes for each presentation, plus 3 minutes Q&A, with 5-6 presentations per session. - The faculty moderator will be in charge of the time, but you must keep the time as well in case the moderator is too captivated by the presentation.
