Request for Presentations
Colorado Society of Association Executives
CSAE is looking for presentations at various events during 2014.
2014 Annual Conference, June 11-13, Snowmass Colorado
Keynotes, panels, breakouts are typically 45-75 minutes in length
2014 Luncheon/Breakfast Keynotes and Panels
Held in the metro Denver monthly, usually Thursday or Fridays
Presentations are typically 45-60 minutes in length
2014 Workshops, Seminars
Held in the metro Denver, sometimes in conjunction with monthly luncheons and
breakfasts, but also as stand-alone events.
Presentations are typically half day.
Audience and Topics
The CSAE membership and typical attendance is comprised of Association CEOs, executive
directors, and senior staff representing all functional areas as well as representatives from
various association suppliers (meeting venues, hotels, marketing service providers, consultants,
etc).
Event attendees are looking for advanced, high-level content that explores new and better ways
of tackling the issues they face on a daily basis. Some topic areas might include:








Innovation that moves the organization forward
New ideas in working with volunteers
Technology solutions, social media, web communications
Fresh looks at leadership
New membership models
Fund raising
Improving meetings
Marketing to the membership
Remember, last year’s presentation may already be out of date.

All proposals must be submitted on the CSAE Presentation Submittal Form and include the following
information:

You will be notified within 30 days regarding acceptance on non-acceptance of your
proposal.
CSAE Presentation Standards and Guidelines
Non-Commercial Promotion
CSAE programs are non-commercial forums. Presenters are to refrain from the use of brand
names and specific product endorsements and may not use the CSAE podium for direct
promotion of a presenter’s product, service monetary self-interest.
Merchandising
Speaker shall not sell or promote any particular product or service during the session
presentation. Speaker may sell products at the back of the room of their session with prior
consent of CSAE.
Non-Discriminatory Guidelines
Presenters must refrain from overt statements or offensive humor that would disparage the
dignity of any individual or group.
Intellectual property
Presenters must fully disclose all intellectual property utilized within handout materials and
during course instruction.

Presentation Visuals and Handouts
Presenters are expected to make handouts available for attendees and to provide visuals to
CSAE for web site posting to the extent possible with appropriate consideration for intellectual
property rights. Electronic versions of handouts and presentations are preferred and strongly
encouraged.
Compensation and Travel
Unless otherwise negotiated, there shall be no compensation for presenters. Presenters are
responsible for their own travel expenses.
