Agro Business Workshop and Business Gathering of Sheep and Goat Husbandry
An Agribusiness Workshop and Business Meeting of Goat, Sheep Husbandry in the
UB Faculty of Animal Husbandry in third floor of building 1. One of the important
recommendations generated are building a communication system among goat
breeders so that the goat farming can be developed more and the researcher in the
Faculty of Animal Husbandry can produce technology according to the needs of goat
and sheep breeding business.The purpose of this activity is to establish relationship
(net working) between Universities, Farmers, and other relevant government
institutions. Second, explores the problems of goats and sheep farm agribusiness and
seek alternative solutions. This was conveyed by the Committee Chairman, Prof.
Dr.Ir.Trinil Susilawati, MS in her speech.
The event, that was opened by the Dean of faculty of Animal Husbandry, Prof. Dr.
Hartutik,MP, was attended by representatives of animal husbandry lecturers in
Malang, Sheep and Goat Breeders from East Java that becomes the member of
Indonesian Sheep and Goat Breeders Association (HPDKI), related institutions, such
as instansi terkait yaitu Singosari Center for Artificial insemination, Agricultural Staff
Training Center (BLPP), Indonesian Farmer Association (HKTI), UPT of Animal
Husbandry, Dept of Animal Husbandry, Dompet Dhuafa, Student's Entrepreneurship
Unit, and 114 students.
The event is continued with business meeting with the speakers:Prof. Dr.Ir. Luqman
Hakim,MS, Ir.Hermanto,MP, Dr.Ir.Liliek Eka Radiati,MS, Dr.Ir. Bambang Ali,MS
and Drh Oon Furqon (Ketua HPDKI) and the moderator Dr.Ir. Sucik Maylinda,MS.
The event is a series of events on three years, started on 2009, Science and
Technology Program for Imported Product entitled "Strengthening Goat Breeding
Agro Business Through Artificial Insemination System, Utilization of Local Feed,
Goat Milk and Marketing System Improvement".
After the event is closed, it is continued with HPDKI congress to choose East Java
branch committee and arranging event's program for the next five years.[tri/ai]
