1. Introduction :
Photonics and informatics is the science and technology of “light” engineering combined
with information, communication, semiconductor, nanotechnology, generation of light,
display technology, sensing, biotechnology, medicine, security and defense, manufacturing,
and environment. Photonics and informatics has become the dominant high-technology in
almost every aspect of various modern technologies in the 21 st century. The education
program offers various courses specializing in photonics and informatics and provides MS
and PhD degrees. The research program focuses on advanced photonic and information
technology with partnership in research institutes and industries.
