Diffraction: plane waves expansions, angular spectra, 2D Fourier transform, scalar and
vector diffraction theory, Fresnel and Fraunhofer diffraction, coherence.
Linear optical systems: Thin lenses, Gaussian beam optics, transmission functions, linear
systems theory, imaging, transfer functions, aberration.
Applications: Holography, diffractive optics, gratings, optical correlation.
