Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Explain handling procedures for fragile and oversize baggage items. Evidence requirements 1.1 Limited release tag is explained in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 1.2 may include but is not limited to – car seats, strollers, bicycles, surfboards, golf clubs, musical instruments, plastic boxes, cartons, poly bins, fishing rods. Items for which liability will not be accepted are described in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range ServiceIQ SSB Code 9068 may include but is not limited to – cash, negotiable papers, jewellery, antiques, valuables, fragile or brittle articles, electrical or electronic equipment, perishables, any item that has insufficient packaging. Allowable dimensions for oversize items are described in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range may include but is not limited to – weight, height, length, width. Outcome 2 Process fragile and oversize baggage items for carriage on an aircraft. Evidence requirements 2.1 Passenger is greeted and travel documents are checked in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 2.2 Passenger is informed of fragile and oversize item handling requirements in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 2.3 may include but is not limited to – marking relevant boxes, passenger signature. Tags are attached to fragile or oversize item in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 2.6 may include but is not limited to – broken handles, straps or latches, scratches, dents, rips, tears. Limited release tag is completed in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 2.5 may include but is not limited to – use of limited release tag, heavy item tag, consequences if passenger refuses to sign. Fragile or oversize items are examined and any pre-existing damage is recorded in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 2.4 may include but is not limited to – boarding pass, passport, ticket. may include but is not limited to – limited release tag, fragile tag, heavy item tag. Fragile or oversize item is introduced into baggage system in accordance with enterprise procedures.
