methodologies in development, advocacy, social work, public health, medicine and other fields. Through case
studies and applied anthropological projects students will learn how the main strengths of anthropology interdisciplinary knowledge base, holism, insights from qualitative and quantitative methodologies and most
importantly, grounded connections to communities' realities, aspirations and needs – empower its practitioners to
successfully engage in the analysis and solution of practical problems related to heath, poverty, environmental
and economic crises etc.
