NURSERY 1 –. What a beautiful fall! The infants
and teachers really enjoyed getting outside for our
sometimes “-lengthy” walks during this mild November!
The fresh air tends to calm the babies down, even on our
fussiest days.
Our December theme for Nursery One is “Just Like
Snowflakes”! We will give our infants plenty to stimulate
their little minds. Miss Carmela has been planning our
holiday decorations since September…lol! In addition, we
are hoping to create a little holiday surprise for our
moms, dads, and families.
Please continue to dress your child appropriately for
the weather, including hats and gloves, in the event that
December brings us some more mild days. Thank you!

TODDLER 1 –
Let the countdown to Christmas
begin! This month in art we will be making lots of
snowflakes, reindeer, and Christmas trees! We will also be
singing songs for our Christmas Pageant on December
12th. I hope to see you there! As the weather gets colder
and we start expecting snow, I hope to be able to take my
toddlers outside to play and build snowmen. I will be sure
to send home reminders to bring in snow clothes. Also, my
friends are now counting! Some can count to five on their
own. Yay friends! I look forward to having lots of
Christmas fun with your toddlers!

- Winter is coming! Winter is
coming! So please send in those extra hats and gloves
for when we can get outside for walks. When the snow
starts to fall, I will send out a letter for snow clothes.
Playing in the snow is so much fun!
The December theme is “Winter and Holidays”. It’s
the best for art activities! Also this month, our annual
Christmas Pageant! The toddlers will be singing three
holiday songs. Hope to see you all there!
As we continue the potty training, we have found it
hard if the children have on onesies. We understand
it’s cold out and you want to keep the little friends
warm. But please help us by trying to limit the wearing
of onesies. Thank you!

- Winter is
almost here! Let the
countdown to Christmas begin!
This month is all about snow
and the holidays. We will start
off December talking about
snow and cold weather. What
do we wear outside in the cold?
What can we do in the snow? We will make snowflakes
and snowmen, and even igloos! A wintry snack is even
in the plans! “Forever Green” is our next topic, where
we will make Christmas trees and wreaths. Of course,
we are also going to talk about Christmas and Santa!
We will make lots of awesome Christmas decorations,
so make sure you have room at home for our treasures!
A special Christmas surprise for our families is also in
the works! We will start a countdown to Christmas by
making a Christmas chain and have a small party. I will
let you know the details. Please remember our
Christmas Pageant on Wednesday, December 12th at
6:15 pm. Our friends are practicing very hard for this!
As the weather gets colder, please make sure your
child is dressed appropriately. We talk about what to
wear outside every day…coats, hats, and gloves. All of
these things are a must for us to go outside and enjoy
the fresh air! We cannot go outside is everyone is not
prepared.
December is going to be a fun and busy month for
us! If you have any questions or concerns, please let
me know!
I wish all of you a happy and safe holiday!
about what we do and don’t do in the snow. We will
make tree shapes and handprint wreaths. The children
will experience many things that deal with the snow
and what you can do with snow! Week Three is “”Tis
the Season: For Evergreen”. We are going to make many
things with the color green. We will make trees and
decorate them! We will read and listen to many stories
about our themes.
All my preschoolers should keep up the good work
you are doing to get ready for kindergarten!
Miss Renee and Miss Cheryl
PRESCHOOL 2 –
December is fast upon us,
and it brings Preschool Two to the “ABC’s of
Christmas”. All month long we will learn about
Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa! Week One is
“Christmas by the Alphabet”. We will practice our
language when we write letters to Santa. We will use
our small motor finger muscles when we play with
peppermint playdough. Week Two is “Make a Joyful
Noise”. We will make a joyful noise at our Christmas
Pageant on Wednesday, December 12th at 6:15 pm. All
are invited to come and see us jingle and shine! Week
Three is “Hurray for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa”. We will
practice using our large motor muscles when we dance
and sing to “Spin, Dreidle, Spin”. We will use our
language skills when we learn new vocabulary that goes
along with Kwanzaa.
Please be sure to sign up if you will attend our annual
Christmas Pageant. Also, let me know of any winter
holiday traditions that your family has. We would love
for you to share your holiday traditions with our class!
Happy Holidays!
Miss Sue and Miss Melissa
PRESCHOOL 1 –
How fast the year has gone
and it is almost winter! Christmas will be here before
you know it! Out theme this month is “Millions of
Snowflakes”. Week One is “Snowy Days”. The children
and I will talk about what snow is. We will play with
shaving cream, touch cold ice and snow, name things
that are cold, paint with ice cubes, make snowflakes,
and lots more! Week Two is “It’s Snowing”. We will talk

SCHOOLAGE –
The school agers are busy with
school and homework. The best part of December,
besides the holidays, is that the schoolagers have a
week off! Perhaps some of our friends from summer
will be joining us for their time off and we can plan
lots of good fun!
