Behavior, Energy and Climate Change Conference
PEEC Student Fellow Application
The 2014 Behavior, Energy and Climate Change (BECC) Conference is the sixth annual
conference focused on the practical applications of social and behavioral research to achieve
viable solutions to energy/climate challenges. It builds on the overwhelming success of past
BECC conferences, at which 700 participants from universities, government, corporations and
organizations discussed successful policy and program strategies, shared important research
findings, and created dynamic new networks and collaborations.
The Precourt Energy Efficiency Center Student Fellows Program generously provides partial
registration scholarships to encourage students to participate in BECC. The fellowship is
awarded through a competitive application process. Selected Student Fellows receive a
registration fee grant of $375 each; the student is expected to pay the remaining $100. No
travel or expense funds are available.
To qualify, you must be a current student at the time of application, be engaged in studies or
research related to the conference topics, and intend to use and share what you learn from the
conference.
Application Instructions
The application must be submitted via email. Applications that are not emailed will be
ignored. Submit the application in the following way:
 Email attachment 1: the one page completed application form saved as in Microsoft
Word or Open Office format.
 Email attachment 2: the same one page completed form, with the signature of an
advisor or professor from your institution. This can be low res (cell phone picture is OK).
 Email body: your name, department, and institution, and the name and department of
the professor who signed the application.
 Send to: kris@caenergy.com with “BECC 2014 Student Scholarship [YourLastName]” in
the subject line.
Deadline and Notification
 Scholarship applications must be received before Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
 Students will be notified of award status by November 1.
 Students who also submit presentation abstracts can request an early decision if the
completed application is received before June 30.
