BD CoordinatorRole Profile Job Description Job Title Business Development Co-ordinator Directorate Wider or Region Europe Department/Country Western Balkans Pay Band H Location of post Bosnia and Herzegovina Reports to Business Development Duration of job Manager WB FTC to 31st March 2014 (initially) Purpose of job: To contribute to business development across Western Balkans (WB) by providing support for pursuit, proposal management and delivery of British Council’s full-cost recovery (FCR) projects. Context and environment: British Council wishes to expand its FCR activities in Western Balkans in order to enhance cultural and educational cooperation between the UK and the countries of WB. Western Balkans has been identified as one of the priority markets for FCR contract pursuit in Wider Europe. Future opportunities will be largely but not exclusively focused on the European Union projects. This post will be based in Bosnia and Herzegovina and contracted until 31st of March 2014, with a possibility of extension. The post will have a regional remit across the Western Balkan countries (Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia). It will require some travel to any of these countries, or to the UK, Brussels or any other regional offices. It may also involve flexible working under the pressure of deadlines – especially in the lead up to the submission of bids. Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties: Pursuit and Positioning: Contribute to the scoping and analysis of client requirements, market trends and intelligence. Complete competitor analysis and identification of new potential partners for individual priority pursuits. Assist in development of track record and preparation of EOIs. Assist in preparation of risk assessment, pursuit budget and all related documents. Research and compile background information for each individual project opportunity. Proposal development: Assist with preparation of bids/proposals for funding from partner and client organisations for projects and activities in line with the British Council strategy. Assist in identification of potential local and international consultants. Maintain relationship with current consultants, clients and partner organisation informing them of the opportunities in the pipeline. Financial: Assist in preparation of financial proposals, project budgets and costing models.
