Prayer & Worship.
Key words: Adhan, Wu’du Niyyah, Salat, Dua, Dhikr,
Rak’ah, Ruk’uh, Sujud, Subha, Muezzin, Minaret.
Muslims are summoned to prayer by the Muezzin, who sings
the Adhan from the Minaret of the Mosque.

There is no god but God.
Before a Muslim can pray, they must be in a state of purity
called Wu’du. This is accomplished by a particular order of
washing, but what is most important is that it begins, like
Salat, with Niyyah (intention: the Muslim must state, even if
only in their mind “it is my intention to perform wu’du”).
Reasons for performing Salat five times a day:
Salat ul Fajr
Salat ul Zuhr
Salat ul Asr
Salat ul
Maghrib
Salat ul Isha
Salat ul Jum’ah
Between 1st light & sunrise
Early afternoon
Between mid afternoon & sunset
Between sunset & last light
Between darkness & dawn
Friday congregational prayer.
Salat has a particular order, and involves different postures:
Ruk’uh, (bowing) and Sujud (prostration). Reasons why
Muslims do this;
Salat is not the only way to Pray, Muslims also practice:
Dua
