Q: I did not get my Balfour packet. What do I do?
A: See your Senior Sponsors for a packet. See the front office. Ask your Class
President. This packet contains all the ordering info for cap/gowns, graduation
announcements, etc. Balfour will be back on campus February 9th & 10th during ALL
lunches to take your order. An $80.00 deposit is required when you turn in your
order. If your order is less than $80.00, you will pay the full amount when placing
your order. THIS IS NOT COVERED in your Senior dues.
Q: When will I receive my announcements and cap & gown order?
A: Balfour states the estimated delivery date on graduation announcements will
be April, and an estimated delivery date for your cap & gown will be May.
Q: What do I need to know about Graduation?
A: Graduation for HHS is May 26, 2012. It will be held at Reliant Stadium; the
ceremony starts at 12:30 p.m. More details will follow regarding what time Seniors
should arrive to Reliant, and the time/date for Graduation Practice.
Q: I need a transcript to send with my college application, how do I order?
A: Transcripts must be ordered in person at the Registrar’s Office #3003. They
are $2.00 each, due at the time of ordering, cash only with a pick up in 2 days, OR!
NEW THIS YEAR! We will send your transcript Electronically to public colleges
within Texas FOR FREE. Come in and sign up today!
Q:
Is help available to Seniors who are still undecided about their future?
A: YES! A college employee staffs our College Room in the Library every Tuesday
from 8:00 – 2:30 and sets a table up in the Commons during lunch each Tuesday.
She can answer questions and offer guidance about ANY college. See Ms. Francis

Parent volunteers are here to help! Wednesdays, during 3rd period (9:00 am –
10:30 am) is for our Spanish speaking students. ASK YOUR 3rd period teacher for a
pass and report to the COLLEGE ROOM. A volunteer will help with researching
colleges, applications, scholarship applications, essay writing, applying for Aid.
An English speaking volunteer is here on Thursdays in LGI-3, from 8:00– 9:00
a.m. to help with the same subjects as listed above. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ALL

Q: How do I file with the NCAA to ensure I can participate in sports?
Log on to www.eligibilitycenter.org, complete the online application; report to Room
#3003 once you have finished. We will mail your transcript to the NCAA at no
charge. Second step: Log on to your College Board profile & order your SAT results
to be sent directly to NCAA, using code 9999.
Q: How do I apply for SCHOLARSHIPS?
A: It’s late, but not too late! New scholarships are posted weekly. Check
