Integrated Personal Care and Housing Support Services:
The Council is seeking to procure integrated personal care and housing-related support that
will be available to people with disabilities in the Royal Borough. The specification for the
delivery of Independent living support services is to assist people with disabilities to develop
or maintain their independence within the community, thus preventing loss of their home or
tenancy, and/or the otherwise unnecessary use of more institutional forms of care. The
Council is particularly interested to hear from organisations that can offer the following:-
experience of person-centred planning; local knowledge of the area; an outcomes based
approach to service delivery and an understanding of how to deliver personalised services.
Care Managers will use the preferred provider list to work with service users. This may
include a block contract, but total contract value will be variable depending on individual
service user choice through the use of personal budgets.
These specifications cover the delivery of services that would require registration with the
Care Quality Commission (CQC). The Council expects all service providers to be rated as
good, or excellent by the CQC.
The Framework Agreement will run from 1st March 2011 to 28 February 2015.
