System: This lunchtime presentation will provide you with a legislator’s perspective
on the state of the Texas system. What areas are problematic? What will be done to
reform the troubled Texas workers’ compensation system?
Medical Benefits Update: Developments and Issues: Come hear about recent
developments and issues that impact medical benefits in the Texas system.
Workers’ Compensation Fraud: When White Lies Become White Collar Crime:
Fraud is a major problem found in the Texas workers’ compensation system. Come
learn about how fraud impacts the Texas system and what is being done about it.
Round Table Panel Discussion – “The Texas Workers’ Compensation System: A
System in Crisis”: Representatives from labor, business, the medical community, the
insurance industry and a member of the Texas House of Representatives will discuss
the problematic Texas system and possible solutions for addressing these issues. Come
hear what they have to say.

Richard Reynolds is Executive Director of the
Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Dick Geiger is a partner at the law firm of

ICT’s General Counsel.
Larry Hochstettler is NCCI’s State Relations
Executive for Texas.
Ron Luke, Ph.D., J.D. is President of RPC Consulting, a firm

governments and the legal community on issues such as
workers’ compensation.
Representative Jack Stick (R-Austin) is a member of the
Texas House of Representatives.
Lisa Hannusch is the President of CompPartners
Texas and is an expert on medical billing and fraud in
federal criminal cases.
Marilyn Hoffmeister is the Claims Director for the
Hartford Insurance Company’s Houston Claims
Center.
