POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE The Mucosal Immunity laboratory, affiliated with the faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne, specialises in innate immunity and epithelial biology. The major focus of research is to elucidate the expression and function of endogenous, anti-inflammatory molecules including antimicrobial peptides with a view to developing therapeutics. We also investigate signalling pathways activated by pathogenic and commensal bacteria and bacterial molecules in mucosal epithelial cells. We are seeking an outstanding post-doctoral fellow to perform research in these areas. A creative, ambitious individual with a PhD or MD PhD and a keen interest in innate immunity and intracellular signalling pathways is sought. Expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics is necessary. Experience in proteomics and post-translational modifications would be a plus. Strong presentation and writing skills are required.
