ATTENTION SENIORS & SENIORS’ PARENTS! THERE ARE
MANY CHANGES FROM PRIOR YEARS SO PLEASE READ
The “Grad Nite” Parent Committee has been busy working on plans for a special night of fun for our
seniors. The Graduating Class of 2016 will attend a midday and all night graduation party to be held at
Disneyland Park in Anaheim, on
Friday, June 10th. We are fortunate to continue to offer this event to our graduating seniors, as many
high schools have lost the privilege of going to Disneyland for Grad Nite due to past classes that have
not followed the rules and thus their school is now NEVER allowed to go back to Disneyland for Grad
Nite. We thank the past graduating classes for their excellent behavior; they have shown what great
students attend South Hills and we hope to continue this special occasion for many years to come.
Graduates will meet in the senior parking lot at South Hills High School to board the buses, NO
LATER THAN 4:15 P. M. ON THE 10TH! We will be leaving the parking lot at 4:30 P.M.
SHARP! The buses will return to South Hills on Saturday, June 11th, at approximately 3:15 A.M.
The cost of this exciting evening is $120.00 per person. The price of the tickets will increase to $135.00
per person after March 26th. PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS IN MARCH! This includes chartered
bus transportation, admission, and unlimited use of all attractions. This year seniors will receive a park
hopper ticket allowing them to experience both Disney parks once we arrive. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE
REQUIRED TO ARRIVE BY CHARTERED BUS TRANSPORTATION, therefore, you WILL NOT
receive your ticket for grad nite until you arrive at Disneyland on June 10th., NO EXCEPTIONS.
(Food and beverages are not included in the ticket price and Annual Passes are NOT accepted for this
event.) Tickets will be sold on campus, Tues. & Thurs. at lunch time, in the front of the Library,
starting Tuesday March 15 and will continue through April 14th. CASH and CHECKS will be
accepted through April 7th. CASH ONLY after April 7th. There will be NO REFUNDS after April
7th. START SAVING NOW! Checks should be made payable to SHHS PTA. All graduates must
have both signed permissions slips with them in order to purchase their tickets. (Extra permission slips
will be in ASB as well as online.) Graduates are also welcome to bring a guest. Guests must be 14
years of age or older and must also have signed permissions slips. A limited number of tickets will be
on sale so purchase your tickets early! NOTE THIS YEAR WE MUST PREPAY OUR EVENT TO
DISNEY, THERFORE WE WILL NOT BE SELLING TICKETS PAST APRIL 15.
Buses will be assigned by PTA WHEN TICKETS ARE PURCHASED. It is the student’s
responsibility to ensure that his or her name is on the color bus list with friends that they want to ride
with. All guests will automatically be assigned with student. The list will be color coordinated; in other
words we will have the following color buses: RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN and BLUE, so
again it is the student’s responsibility to make sure they get on the right color bus with ALL their friends
at the time of purchase! No changes will be made to bus lists after April 29th.
