BACKGROUND SUMMARY
Dr. Sumin is a Russian-born, Soviet trained geologist-geochemist widely known in the
former Soviet countries and throughout the world for her pioneering work in the location
and analysis of large metallogenic ore deposits. She is the author of more than 50
research publications in the fields of Geochemistry, Geochemical Exploration,
Mineralogy, Petrology and Metallogeny. She is fluent in the Russian, Spanish and
English languages.
Now a U.S. Citizen, Dr. Sumin has over 30 years experience in teaching and scientific
research at various universities. She has consulted for many of the world’s largest
mining and natural resource companies. For the last 10 years she has been a
Research Scientist in the University of Arizona and active involve in mining exploration
projects.
