RESUME` Dr Anurag Shukla 08527580205 dranuragshukla@gmail.com Professional experience : I did my residency training at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences after passing my MBBS degree from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College, Kalwa, Thane. Bombay Hospital is a recognized Postgraduate teaching Hospital by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and Medical Council of India. During my three years training in Bombay Hospital I worked in general medicine and various subspecialty departments like cardiology, neurology, chest medicine, infectious diseases, haematology and intensive care medicine including nephrology, which involved management of critically ill patients and various life saving procedures like intubation and mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, central line insertions, arterial line insertions, and catheterizations. Also diagnostic procedures like lumbar puncture, pleural tapping, ascitic tapping and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. After finishing my MD from Bombay hospital I did 6 months of specialty training in Nephrology department during which I was involved in the care of patients with chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis in ESRD patients, renal transplant patients. I was also trained in hypertension clinic during this period which involved first hand exposure to BPTRU, ambulatory BP monitoring (ABPM) and applanation tonometry. After this I worked in medical ICU at Sir JJ Group of Hospitals as a post graduate registrar for 7 months during which I was involved in the care of critically ill patients and performed various ICU related procedures. After which I worked as a medical officer in general medicine department at Mumbai Port Trust Hospital, Wadala, Mumbai for 6 months. At present I am working as a DNB trainee [Nephrology training course recognized by National Board of Examinations, India] in Nephrology Dept since March 2012 at Fortis Hospital Noida, India. Fortis Hospital is a 280 bedded multispecialty hospital with a fully functional Nephrology dept. The hospital has dialysis unit with 13 dialysis machines and does around 900 dialysis a month. Hospital also does around 100 kidney transplants in a year.
