At $400.00 (Four Hundred Dollars),
In the event of a stillbirth, mare owner will have return breeding privileges within that breeding season or the
following breeding season. Costs to mare owner on the return breeding will be current mare care costs and vet
expenses incurred.
1.
The stallion fee includes a nonrefundable booking fee of $ 100.00 (Two Hundred dollars) payable with this
contract, the balance of which must be paid with all other expenses when mare is picked up or when mare
owner is invoiced, whichever is first. Invoices are payable upon receipt. Mare owner may NOT remove mare
from Breeder's possession until all expenses are paid in full unless other arrangements have been made in
writing between the breeder and mare owner.

Breeder agrees to provide suitable facilities for the care and feed ofthe mare (and foal) while in Breeder's care.
Mare owner agrees to pay for care and feed at the rate of: $10.00 per day for wet mares; $8.00 per day for dry
mares.

Breeder will exercise judgment consistent with recognized standards in and supervision of mare (and
foal).Breeder assumes responsibility for arranging veterinarian and farrier services, as necessary. Breeders
Veterinarian will examine mare for normal breeding conditions and administer medical care, as deemed
necessary, for the health and safety of the mare (and foal). All veterinarian and farrier expenses will be paid by
Mare owner.
4.
Mares that are not halter broke will NOT be accepted. Rear shoes will be removed at Mare Owners expense.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
5.
The mare shall be in a healthy and sound breeding condition, free from infectious, contagious, or transmittable
disease. A current negative Coggins test (within 6 months, a copy of registration papers (front and back),
veterinarian health certificate, plus a health, worming and immunizations record must accompany mare; if they
do not, Breeder's veterinarian will examine and/or test mare at Mare owner's expense. If mare is refused, the
booking fee shall constitute liquidated damages and not be returned.
6.
Breeder agrees to diligently try to settle mare; however, if mare fails to settle, for any reason, Mare Owner will
hold Breeder blameless. Mare Owner agrees to give breeder ample opportunity to settle mare.
7.
This is a live foal guarantee. A live foal is described as a newborn foal that stands and nurses without assistance
for 72 hours. If the foal will not stand and suck and death occurs, the mare owner will be entitled to a free
breeding during the season of the following year only. An alternate Mare may be substituted upon approval of
Stallion Owner. This guarantee does not include death from injury to the foal. Only the stud fee is free. All
other fees apply, and are the responsibility of the Mare Owner. This guarantee will apply only if Stallion Owner
is notified within 7 days from the time of death of the foal. This notice must be accompanied by a statement
from a licensed veterinarian. Booster rhinopneumonitis (killed virus) vaccinations must be administered as
indicated by the individual drug manufacturer as the mare progresses through her pregnancy. Failure to do this
will void the live foal guarantee. The Mare Owner must pay any board, collection, shipping and/or veterinary
charges if the Mare returns for a re-breeding. Mare Owner agrees that Stallion Owner and/or Manager do not
make any guarantees as to the quality or conformation of the foal nor that the foal will be free of any infirmity,
conformation defect, disease or inherited trait.
8.
A breeder Certificate: will be issued for the foal, conceived by this mating, when stallion fee and all other
Expenses have been paid in full.
9.
Both parties agree that JOHNSON FARMS, the breeder, their agents or employees are not liable for death,
sickness, and/or accident including consequential damages caused to the mare and/or foal unless such death,
and/or accident was by the willful and wanton recklessness of the breeder. Mare owner's signature signifies their
approval of the facility which the mare and/or foal are to be kept during their stay.
10. In the event that named stallion is sold, breeding will be honored by New Owners (no refunds on breeding),
boarding costs shall remain the same. If the mare dies or becomes unfit to breed before being pronounced "safe
in foal", the Breeder will accept another mare according to paragraphs 4 and 5, as a replacement.
11. Breeder STRONGL Y recommends that Mare Owner carry full insurance on mare and/or foal.

12. This contract is no assignable or nontransferable (except in the case of new Stallion Owner).
13. This contract is entered into the State of WASHINGTON, and will be interpreted and enforced under the laws
of this state. If any clause in this contract is against State Law, then that clause (only) will be null and void.

15. This contract represents the entire agreement between the parties. No other agreements or promises, verbal or
implied, are included unless specifically stated in this written contract. A copy of this completed and signed
contract will be given to the mare owner only at the mare owner's request.
16. When Mare Owner and breeder sign this contract, it will then be binding on both parties, subject to the above
terms and conditions.
17. Mare owner shall be responsible for reasonable attorney fees and court costs, if necessary, to collect fees due.
18. There will be a $25.00 service charge for each returned check.
