Abstract: Since the three-dimensional seismic exploration of mining area carried out in China from the last 1980s, it has been playing an indispensable role in the high yield and efficiency production of coal mine. Through the three-dimensional seismic technologies, the following results are obtained, the geological structure, coal seam roof and floor lithology, coalgas-rich region, gas outburst danger zone. In the area with good geological conditions, the seismic multi-attribute technology can identify the faults that fault displacement is more than 5m (accuracy rate is
80%) and basically identifies the faults that fault displacement is more than 3m; It can identify subsided column which diameter is more than 25m (accuracy rate is 80%) and basically identifies subsided column which diameter is more than 15m.The technology of horizon calibration and time-depth conversion can identify the backplane and downs of the main coal seam in morphology, depth error is less than 1.5% and identifies the folds (accuracy rate of
80%) that volatility is more than 10m and small coal pit area. By building a relationship between seismic attributes and seam thickness, it can identify the scouring and thinning area in coal seams (accuracy rate is 60%).Through the poststack inversion technology, the main mining seam roof and floor lithology is forecasted. The prestack inversion technology can describe the coal gas content distribution. The tectonic coal is forecasted according to its soft feature by seismic inversion technology. These geological results provide strong geological support for coal mine safety and high yield production.
