Cavaliers defeat Bulls
N-B-A basketball fans filled Assembly Hall tonight to see the Chicago Bulls’ play the
Cleveland Cavaliers (kav-uh-LEERS). Rookie Dion (DEE-ahn) Waiters scored eighteen
points to help the Cavaliers (kav-uh-LEERS) to an eighty-six to eighty-three victory. The
Bull’s slow start seemed to be the difference in the game. Cleveland stole the lead in the
first quarter and Chicago never got it back. Despite the Bulls trailing fifty to twenty-nine
at the half… a fourteen to nothing run and jumper by Marco Belinelli (bell-ih-NELL-ee)
in the fourth quarter tied the game. A three-pointer by Waiters sealed the deal for
Cleveland and kept Chicago from a victory. Head coach Tom Thibodeau (THIB-uh-doe)
expected a higher level of play from the Bulls.

This marks the sixth time overall that the Bulls played on the University of Illinois’
campus. Chicago travels to Minnesota tomorrow night to take on the Timberwolves.
