THE SCHOOL
Rawcliffe Primary School is a friendly and high achieving school welcoming all children. Set in the beautiful village of
Rawcliffe, it forms a central part of the local community and provides a high quality education for children from four
to eleven. Children flourish in a caring atmosphere where every child is known as an individual and valued as a
member of the school community.
Educational standards are above national levels and all children are expected to work hard and fulfil their potential,
whatever their starting points. Independent learning skills are taught from an early age and our children are
motivated to do the very best they can, supported by skilled teachers who plan and guide their learning
journeys. Children benefit from working in small class sizes but enjoy the wide range of activities the school has to
offer.
As you would expect, there is a strong emphasis on learning the basics: reading, writing and mathematics feature
prominently on the curriculum, however children develop knowledge, skills and understanding in a wide range of
subjects taught through termly themes which help make learning meaningful and relevant. Children like learning at
Rawcliffe because they know they will be well supported. As a result, they enjoy success and are proud to be pupils
at the school.
Further information about the school can be seen on our website www.rawcliffeprimaryschool.co.uk
