It’s that busy time of year again! We hope you have time to really enjoy this exciting time with your family. Our winter holiday begins December 21st. We return on January 4 th . We are looking for volunteers to help plan a “winter party” for the class. Songs, simple games or craft, all lasting 30 minutes would be wonderful. Please let us know.
What We Are Learning
Our IEP themes for this month are: making requests and comments, answering and asking questions, imitating actions and words, and following directions.
We have begun the month continuing to learn our colors. We will sing along with some new color songs, relating colors to things we see in our world. We will also be playing color hunt games.
Next, we will learn about bears and hibernation. Then we will be “going on a bear hunt.” Everyone should like that action rhyme! We will also be ringing bells, dancing like reindeer, and playing musical instruments. Such fun!

Did You Know?
Your children are practicing how to put on their own coats . We are using the “flip” method which I can demonstrate on a home visit if you’d like. We say, “Flip, flop, over the top!” A couple of students are also attempting to fasten the zipper. Please remember to put names in coats, hats and mittens.
We try to go outside every day, weather permitting.
