I am enclosing herewith a manuscript entitled “Likelihood of complete response for advanced
liver cancer during sorafenib therapy: Case Report” for a possible evaluation and getting to the
publication in “BMC Gastroenterology”
With the submission of this manuscript I would like to undertake that the above mentioned
manuscript has not been published elsewhere, accepted for publication elsewhere or under
editorial review for publication elsewhere; and that my Institute’s Gastroenterology Department
of Pisa University Hospital, representative is fully aware of this submission.
Submitted manuscript is a Case Report
We believe is worth of mentioning according to point 6 of instruction for the authors: “unusual
case of an unexpected event in the course of observing or treatment a patients”.
In fact to the best of our knowledge, it represents the first evidence of complete response to
sorafenib in an elderly patient with advanced HCV-related hepatocellular carcinoma
