NextAxiom Hyperservice® Business Platform
The Hyperservice® Business Platform is a collection of service-oriented software tools and a runtime
automation environment used to define, maintain and manage real-time Business Services. The
Hyperservice Platform is the key enabler of pure metadata-driven, Service-Oriented Development of
Applications (SODA).

Hyperservice® Business Platform Overview
There are three components to the Hyperservice® Business Platform: the Hyperservice® Studio, the Hyperservice® Manager,
and the NextAxiom Service Runtime Environment™ (SRE). A Hyperservice® is a Web service that declaratively combines
lower-level functional services into a higher-level business concept and links them more closely to the way the business runs.
A Hyperservice® can be directly consumed by an end user application or device as a Web service or reused as a component
of other Hyperservices®.

Hyperservices® are defined within the Hyperservice® Studio and deployed on the NextAxiom SRE, which automatically
executes Hyperservice definitions and provides enhanced performance, scalability and measurability for service-oriented
applications. The Hyperservice® Manager is used to administer the Hyperservice components of the service-oriented
applications to ensure security, maintain performance, and analyze usage of resources. Application architects and service
developers use Hyperservice® Studio to assemble services into Hyperservices®. IT managers use Hyperservice® Manager to
administer security, regulate the SRE and analyze performance.
Hyperservice® Studio
The Hyperservice Studio is an innovative Integrated Service Environment (ISE) that supports many breakthrough features for
the pure service-oriented development of real-time Business Services. The NextAxiom Studio is the core enabling component
for the Service-Oriented Development of Applications (SODA). The Hyperservice Studio enables you to produce business
services through metadata-driven composition and consumption of other Web or native services. Your favorite UI development
tool, Portal development platform or end-user devices can then consume these agile business services to support your everchanging business requirements.
NextAxiom SRE™
NextAxiom® Service Runtime Environment (SRE) is the heavy-lifting engine of the Hyperservice® Business Platform. It
provides an automated execution and instrumentation environment for metadata-driven composite and atomic services. SRE
is platform independent and can be installed on, or embedded within, all major server platforms. The unit of work in NextAxiom
SRE is a native service. All SRE native services are automatically created by the SRE and therefore they are Automatic
Services. The generalizations in SRE strictly pivot around services and service input and output data as opposed to objects,
messages, structures or other means of orientation.
Hyperservice® Manager
Hyperservice® Manager is a powerful administrative toolbox that allows IT managers to securely provision and deploy
business services, manage and monitor the SRE, and analyze performance logs of Web services as well as native SRE
services. Hyperservice® Manager has been specially built to mitigate management challenges and exploit opportunities posed
by the highly distributed, highly modularized nature of Web service and service-oriented architectures.
