Bite on the cotton for two hours. If you are still bleeding after that, bite on a new
piece of cotton for another hour. Repeat as necessary.
NO SMOKING for 24 hours.
No exercise or heavy lifting today.
Take pain pills as directed. (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil etc. 800 mg every 6 hours.)
Eat on the opposite side of the extraction. Cool, soft, easy-to-chew foods.
Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid alcohol.
Use an ice pack for swelling. 10 on, 10 minutes off.
