5.5.2 EDL CRITERIA FOR EVALUTION OF NOMINEES Criteria for Evaluation of Nominees for EDL Award (For Use by Scholarship and Awards Committee) Preliminary Required Screening Criteria Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics RD/DTR professional practice experience 5 to 10 years Documented active participation in The Academy (national, state, or district) for at least 5 years Recipient has not received the RYDY or RDTY Award Three Letters of Reference Included Personal Vitae Included Narrative Included Score Sheet Criteria Please evaluate each of the nominees on the following criteria and score using the scale below. Apply the weight to each score and total the points to reach the final score for each application. 1 = Low (Needs more development and leadership experience in The Academy or professional activities and/or recommendations weak.) 2 = Mid-Range to Low (Demonstrated start with leadership experience in The Academy or professional activities and/or recommendations mild to weak.) 3 = Average or Mid-Range (Demonstration of average leadership in The Academy and professional activities and/or some good recommendations. 4 = Above Average (Above average record of leadership in The Academy and professional activities and/or good recommendations. 5 = High (Well-developed record of professional leadership in The Academy and professional activities and/or outstanding recommendations.)
