Physiology, environment, food chain, blood biochemistry, food
sciences, biotechnology
Research is focused on biomedical sciences, biotechnology and
food science. Department has two laboratories dealing with
blood biochemistry and evaluation of spermatozoa motility
parameters. Researchers analyze mainly the effects of various
toxicants of environment and food chain in relation to
physiological parameters in farm and wild animals. Monitoring
of heavy metal concentration in wild animals is also one of the
research topics. All studies are realized in vivo and also in vitro.
Factors affecting reproductive parameters are evaluated using
fine micromorphometric methods and computer assisted semen
analyzer (CASA).
